Slungpy Games highlights offline combat in the official description: “Your base fights offline!” This is not a separate idle minigame — your placed turrets, walls, and generators keep running on the server while you are logged out, subject to wave timers and layout quality.

Offline combat and offline income are linked. If zombies leak through defenses, income structures stop contributing until you repair on login. The July 14, 2026 patch refined boss-related wave pressure during long AFK sessions — retest layouts after major updates on our patch tracker.

Effective offline progress = income rate × hours away × defense uptime %. A layout that survives 95% of overnight waves earns nearly full returns; one that collapses at hour three earns a fraction.

Build for unattended reliability:

• Double-layer walls on the primary spawn path.
• Redundant splash turrets at choke points — see defense tier list.
• Avoid greedy expansion that stretches turret coverage thin.

Model uptime with the offline earnings estimator before 8+ hour breaks.

The BOSSES UPDATE added boss encounters with custom attacks. Some boss events may trigger during offline windows depending on Slungpy tuning. Conservative AFK builds prioritize wall HP and core shields over glass-cannon DPS that fails without manual dodging.

Before long AFK: clear active boss timers manually if the UI warns you, or accept that offline boss phases may stress weaker layouts. Read fight strategies for patterns you cannot dodge while away.

1. Repair all damaged defenses — no missing turret slots.
2. Confirm income generators are placed and not blocked.
3. Check zombie pathing after recent builds — layout tips.
4. Set realistic defense uptime in calculators (80–95% for mid-game).
5. Collect currency so offline gains stack on login.

On return: collect earnings first, assess leak damage, upgrade defenses before Rolling. If offline combat failed repeatedly, pause luck farming and read base protection before the next AFK block.
