Tsunami Hourly Event Guide
How the Build a base RNG Tsunami hourly event works: sea enemies, new weapons, timing tips, and base prep for August 2026.
What Is the Tsunami Event?
The Tsunami Update added a recurring hourly event to Build a base RNG. During the window, servers fight new sea enemies and can earn new weapons that do not appear in the normal zombie wave table. Official Roblox copy (August 2026): “In this hourly event you can fight new sea enemies, and get NEW WEAPONS!”
Think of Tsunami as a timed dungeon layered on your plot — your base still matters, but enemy themes, pressure, and loot tables shift for the hour.
Hourly Timing Tips
- Tsunami cycles on an hourly cadence. Join a few minutes before the hour if community timers show a spawn window.
- Server hop only if your current server already failed the wave — hopping mid-fight can waste setup time.
- Keep Auto Roll running before and after the fight so Index progress continues while you reposition.
- Use coin potions or shop boosts during Tsunami if you expect a long clear — denser fights bank more currency.
Base Prep for Sea Enemies
Sea packs often pressure lanes harder than early zombie waves. Prep checklist:
- Front-line durable blocks so melee and rush units waste time.
- Rear Tesla / cannon / ice or laser weapons with clear line of sight.
- Core HP buffer — do not start Tsunami with a glass layout from experiment mode.
- Claim pending Index rewards so luck stays high for post-event Rolls.
For 400+ wave shells that survive event spikes, see high-wave layouts.
New Weapons & Index Value
Tsunami weapons feed two goals: immediate DPS and permanent Index completion. Community meta after the update highlights ice cannons, laser cannons, neon spikes, shiny cauldrons, and galaxy-tier turrets as high-value placements once upgraded. Exact drop names can shift with Slungpy patches — always verify in your Index after a clear.
Duplicate weapons: upgrade your strongest copy instead of spreading coins across every new drop. Pair event loot with Relic crafts for late-game power.
Fight Strategy
- Let walls tank; click-melee only when a leak reaches the second row.
- Do not sell core offline income buildings just to free tiles — Tsunami is temporary, offline earn is permanent.
- If a boss wave overlaps the event, prioritize core safety over greedy DPS rearranges.
- After the hour ends, snapshot your layout and return to standard zombie optimization.
