How to Protect Your Base in Build a base RNG

Zombie waves are the failure state in Build a base RNG. When defenses leak, structures stop generating and Rolls stall. Protection is not optional decoration — it is the guardrail that keeps your RNG snowball intact.

Waves typically escalate in health and count. Later zombies may bypass weak outer layers or focus income buildings. Study spawn direction on your plot before placing expensive turrets.

Use three rings:

1. Outer walls — cheap high-HP blocks that slow the wave and buy turret time. See defense tier list for block ratings.
2. Mid-ring turrets — sustained DPS covering the longest path. Overlap fields of fire at corners.
3. Core shields — protect income generators even if outer rings fall.

• Place splash damage where paths converge.
• Single-target beams on high-HP elites in later waves.
• Do not cluster all turrets on one side if zombies path from multiple angles.
• Upgrade existing turrets before Rolling replacements — upgrades often beat lateral rarity swaps.

Your base fights offline per the official description. Offline defense strength depends on layout persistence and automation upgrades. AFK accounts need higher baseline wall HP because you cannot manually repair during leaks.
